One Day Youth Camp at Durgapur Branch of Sri Aurobindo Society, Durgapur Branch

One day Auro Youth camp was organised by Sri Aurobindo Society, Durgapur Branch on 26th August 2017. The programme commenced with hoisting of the Mother’s Flag by the Chairman Sri Aurobindo Society, West Bengal State Committee, Sri Binoy Kumar Bajari. The Participants were introduced to the camp by Indrani Haldar, she also guided the participants on their attitude towards the camp through example of “Three Pots” from Tibetan Buddhism.
To enhance the concentration towards the camp Smt. Jayantika Basu, Secretary Sri Aurobindo Society, West Bengal State Committee, conducted a session on Breathing Exercise and concentration.
Sudhendu Saha, Jt. Secretary Sri Aurobindo Society, West Bengal State Committee gave the participants an insight to Sri Aurobindo, The Mother and Sri Aurobindo Society, the life of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother immensely inspired the participants.
The Succeeding sessions on “Aim of Life” and “Inner Awareness” was conducted by Sourav Chattoraj.
The post Lunch Session included Participatory Activity where the participants were divided into groups and each group were given an attribute (based on the 12 Virtues of the Mother) to speak on after discussion with the other members.
The Programme concluded with Feedback and Question & Answer session and distribution of certificates to the participants

One Day Auro Youth Camp at Bankura Branch of Sri Aurobindo Society.

One day Youth camp was organised by Bankura Branch of Sri Aurobindo Society as a part of their three day programme titled “ASPIRATION 2017”  on 12th August 2017. The programme commenced with hoisting of the Mothers flag by Dr. Lilamoy Muhopadhyay, Chairman, Sri Aurobindo Society, Bankura Branch. Soon after, floral offerings were presented to the Mother and Sri Aurobindo.

Smt. Jayantika Basu, Secretary, Sri Aurobindo Society, West Bengal State Committee introduced the participants to the camp and elaborated the attitude with which the camp must be adhered to with beautiful example of Three Pots from Tibetan Buddism.

Sri Sourav Chattoraj conducted a session on breathing exercises and meditation with Mothers music. This was followed by a short break after which a discussion about “Aim of Life” was also conducted which included various illustrations on Inner Stream and outer Stream of life and alignment therein.

Sri Ashok Basak conducted a session on “Inner Awareness”  where he discussed about three basic building blocks of man viz. body, mind and emotion a.k.a Physical Being, Mental Being and Vital Being (As per Sri Aurobindo). The session was followed by Lunch Break.

Post Lunch Session included Participatory Activities, where the entire group of 38 Participants were divided into 7 groups and each group were given a topic, which included “Anger, Rigidity, Jealousy” etc. the participants were to act and demonstrate the particular emotion to the rest of the participants and were asked for the opposite virtue to it which relates to the 12 virtues of the Mother

.

The Programme conluded with Q&A session and distribution of certificates. The Participants were very enthusiastic about the camp and were willing to participate in similar camps conducted by Sri Aurobindo Society in the future.

One Day Youth Camp at Bhadrapur Branch of Sri Aurobindo Society

On 23rd July Sri Aurobindo Society Bhadrapur Branch Organised One day youth camp at Bhadrapur Maharaja Nandakumar 2 No. Prathamik Vidyalaya Hall. Inspite of the atrocities of the climate and flood the participants took part with great enthusiasm. Bhadrapur, a remote village in Birbhum District of West Bengal witnessed the enthralling camp.

The Session commenced at 10:00 AM with Introduction and welcome session conducted by the secretary, Sri Aurobindo Society, Bhadrapur Branch Sri Satya Narayan Banerjee. This was followed by a session on Breathing Exercise along with meditation conducted by Sri Sourav Chattoraj; 67 Participants from Bhadrapur and surrounding villages took part in the camp. The life of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother was portrayed by Smt. Jayantika Basu. After a brief break Sri Ashok Basak came up with his talk on “Aim of Life” which inspired the participants to organize their lives in a more beautiful way perpetually. Sri Sourav Chattoraj shared his thoughts on Inner Awareness and various Parts of Being as envisaged by Sri Aurobindo. The talk was detailed with many examples and stories which enabled better understanding of the topic and building of interest. Sri Swapan Dey, a member of SAS Bhadrapur, who represented Bengal in the All India Youth Camp demonstrated some pranayams to the participants.

The Post Lunch Session consisted of feedback and Q&A wherein participants provided their feedback and inquired on various topics.The camp concluded with distribution of certificates to the participants and a group Photography session.

 

One Day Youth Camp at Kalimpong West Bengal

One Day Youth Camp was organized at Kalimpong on 13th day of May 2017, amidst the hills and mother nature the participants attended from across the national boundaries to Integrate to the Teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. The camp was most unique for two reasons: firstly participants whole heartedly joined the camp who have come all the way from Nepal and Bhutan; Secondly it was an on floor orientation for our aspiring Auroyouth Trainer Ms. Somdatta Dhar who happens to be one of the representative of West Bengal in the All India Youth Camp of 2015.

The Camp was organized at “Saptashri Gyanpith School” [ https://goo.gl/maps/UMi4W4SwMxM2 ] where 32 Participants have participated from different institutions such as “S.U.M.I”, “St. Augustine’s School”, “Pranami Balika School”, “Cluny Womens’ College”, “Kalimpong College” etc. Sri Amlan Lahiri, Ms. Meera Dahal of Sri Aurobindo Society Kalimpong Centre WC05 have taken key role in organizing the camp.

The camp commenced with Welcome and Introduction to the camp at 9.30 AM by Ms. Meera Dahal. This was followed by a session on Concentration and breathing by Sri Sourav Chattoraj. At 10.15 Participants introduced themselves in a playful manner wherein each participant had to say their name along with the names of other two participants sitting adjacent to them. This was actually done to verify the effect of the concentration and breathing exercises on the participants and the results came out to be mesmerizing. After a short break of 15 minutes at 11.00 AM Smt. Jayantika Basu came up with an Introduction to Sri Aurobindo, The Mother and Sri Aurobindo Society. Ms. Meera Sinha Mahato, a member of Kalimpong Centre of Sri Aurobindo Society, Kalimpong Branch, a homeopathic doctor by profession who practices Homeopathic as guided by the Mother in this regard desired to say in local language the benefit of Integral Health  for 4 minutes. Ms. Mithumita Bardhan conducted her session on “Aim of Life” followed by session by Sourav Chattoraj on “Inner Awareness”. Lunch was provided to the Participants at 2.00 P.M.

The Post Lunch Session was comprised of Participatory Activity, Wherein Participants heard Mother’s Organ Music for 10 Minutes after which they were given a sheet of paper a pencil and crayons with which they were to express their feeling through drawing. The participants came up with some excellent work of creativity. This session was conducted mainly by Somdatta Dhar. The concluding session comprised of distribution of certificates to the Participants and vote of thanks by Ms. Meera Dahal.
